Do You Leave Your Body During Sleep?

There has been much talk about what happens to people when they sleep. Modern science can check things like brainwaves, respiration and vital organ function. However there are some things that are still difficult to measure. Much of that concerns the human mind. There is still much to be discovered about sleep and the human mind. Some of it may still be conjecture.

Do you leave your physical body during sleep? Are there different layers to the human psyche? Are bodies like computers? Do they have cases? Maybe they have something like laptop computer skins for the final shell? This may be a bit far fetched. However, it may explain certain phenomena.

Many people have experienced the feeling of floating from their bodies, as they lie asleep. This has been reported many times. It happens so much, it cannot be passed off as hallucination. What about all of the near death experiences? Do they point to the existence of the human soul? Is this soul ephemeral or tangible? You will not be able to suck it into a handheld vacuum. Yet, it appears to exist in some manner.

There is much going on in the world around you that you are unaware of. There are tiny creatures living their entire lives out on your skin. There are living things in the air that you breathe, also. You cannot see nor feel them, yet you accept their existence. Why is it difficult to understand leaving the physical body?

Suppose you leave you body at night. What does that mean? It may mean that there is more to you than you once thought. It may point the way to the other side of death's doorway. This is an age old question that everyone continually ponders. It is the reason for the extreme power of world religions throughout history.

If you leave your body during sleep, what leaves? And even more important, what is it that stays? Perhaps if that were studied more, there would be better understanding of life after death. There is nothing more important that that age old problem. Even though it may never be totally understood, it would help to have a better understanding.

Final thoughts

Do you leave your physical body during sleep? If so, what leaves and what stays. Are there many layers to the human psyche? Is it like a portable computer, the case, and a notebook skin? These questions may not be answered. However, a better understanding of sleep and the human mind may be called for. This may help us better understand life after death. Understanding this age old dilemma could bring great comfort to many.
